ExcelVite, the world’s leading and largest producer of branded nutraceutical ingredients (EVNol™, EVNol SupraBio™ and EVTene™) from sustainable palm oil is proud to announce that they have obtained the RSPO Supply Chain Certificate (RSPO-SC)  after a successful compliance audit by SIRIM (Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia).

After achieving the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil Supply Chain Certification Standard (MSPO SCCS) in June 2019, the team immediately started to work on identifying requirement gaps between RSPO-SC and MSPO SCCS and took appropriate actions to bridge these gaps in order to ensure compliance with the RSPO Supply Chain Certification Standard.

While both Standards aim at promoting the growth and usage of certified-sustainable palm oil and palm products, the main difference between MSPO and RSPO lies in the former being a nationally recognised standard that aligns with Malaysian law;
whereas RSPO (established in 2004) is the main certification standard for sustainable palm oil and palm products that has a more worldwide recognition.

Achieving RSPO-SC (mass balance) certification meant that ExcelVite is being recognized internationally for its commitment and practices in using only RSPO-certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO), hence, improving the company’s competitive advantage
especially in addressing customers’ needs and expectations on sustainability commitment. It also underscores the company’s strong commitment towards ensuring that the entire value chain and production of palm oil is sustainably produced.

“As a leading PIC/S GMP-certified palm phytonutrient producer, we are proud to achieve RSPO-SC certification that underscores our commitment in sustainability responsibilities while providing high quality products to our customers worldwide. With strong commitment from the management, we hope to do more for the local environment, with positive social and economic impact to local smallholders in Malaysia,” says Ms. YT Chan, Head of Sustainability Committee at ExcelVite.
